(A map of sign placements around town will be provided.)

Waterfall Arts presents "Wait Until Dark - Movie on the Wall" series at the Governor Anderson School - Starting at 8 pm a local band will play music until it gets dark enough to show the films (start time aprox. 8:45 pm).  The movies to be shown are all by Maine film makers.  Approximate viewing time should be about one hour or a little longer.  Also, Elaine Bielenberg - President of the Board - has offered to open the doors of our previous elementary school for a tour, so the BAHS Alumni group can walk those familiar halls of our youth once again.  This activity will be outdoors and free to all.  Please bring blankets or lawn chairs for comfortable viewing.  Please check out their website: www.waterfallarts.org   or contact them by e-mail: info@waterfallarts.org  or call direct: (207) 338 - 2222.

The weekend of events for the reunion should be finished around 1 pm to 2 pm on Sunday afternoon. That leaves plenty of time for people to turn in rental vehicles, get to airports and make their flights home.

So, please everyone mark in your calendars and save the dates from Friday, August 6 through Sunday, August 8, 2010 for this event. Please plan your vacation and finances accordingly to accommodate this trip down memory lane with friends from your long lost youth on the beautiful coast of Maine.

A Few Things to Mention

Note:  All contact and information updates will be done via e-mail addresses.  With the technology today, it is the preferred method of communication because it is fast and inexpensive.  The Belfast Area High School Alumni Association can be contacted via two e-mail addresses:  belfastlions@tidewater.net or blueandgold@tidewater.net .

Updates and on-line registration for the reunion will be done at:  The newly created BAHS Alumni Association Website - www.belfastareahighschoolalumniassociationme.org.

Letters Written to Teachers:  We are inviting all the teachers that were in SAD #34 - district wide during the years we were in school: 1968 - 1981, to join us at our reunion.  I am asking all returning alumni to think about your favorite teachers and then, sit down and write a letter of appreciation, and let these wonderful, dedicated educators know that they had a positive impact on your young life.  "Thank you" is so simple, but too often left unsaid.  After completing your letters, e-mail them to blueandgold@tidewater.net so that I can insert them into individual books for each teacher.  Please consider participating in this letter writing project.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. Your thoughts, interest, participation and willingness to volunteer to shoulder the burden of this 30th and 35th reunion event, is very much appreciated.

All My Best
